How to apply for the residency

The application process is simple:

  1. Fill out the online application form

  2. Submit your portfolio to showcase your artistic vision and previous work

Applications are open until 1 October 2025.

What is included?

  • Use of workshop and tools (fully equipped goldsmith’s studio)

  • Feedback sessions and professional discussions

  • Public final exhibition in Landsberg

  • Optional exhibition in Munich with cooperation partners

  • Media coverage by trade journals

  • Two weeks at the beginning and end for arrival, orientation, excursions and preparation/departure

  • Monthly scholarship of €700 for living costs

  • Reimbursement of travel expenses up to €500

  • Project proposal for residency period

  • Artist statement (max 700 words)

  • Commitment to artistic research and development

  • Portfolio (10-15 images of recent work)

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the application deadline?

Applications are currently open for the first residency beginning in November 2025. We recommend applying as early as possible.

What languages are supported?

The program operates in both English and German. Proficiency in at least one of these languages is required.

Is there an age limit?

The programme is designed for emerging artists. While there’s no strict age limit, we focus on artists in the early to mid-career stages.

Can I visit the workshop before applying?

Please contact us to arrange a visit. We’re happy to show interested artists the workshop and discuss the programme in person.

Selection Process and timeline

  • Application submission (as listed above): 1 October 2025

  • Pre-selection by the jury: First week of October 2025

  • Online interview (Zoom) with the jury: Second week of October 2025

  • Final decision and residency agreement: Second week of October 2025
